Sperm route

During this tour, you will enter the Middle Area. This term does not refer to a fairy tale land, but to the period in which the land was dyked and poldered: Old Land (11th century), Middle Land (16th - 17th century), and New Land (18th century). The creation of these polder areas is closely connected to the sea. Previously, the coastal area was crisscrossed by wide tidal channels where clay was deposited. The construction of dikes also required drainage; streams were created around the same time for this purpose. If you look around while on the way, you will always see water flowing somewhere.

Relatively safe path. Caution when crossing some more heavily trafficked roads.

Everywhere is paved roads. Nowhere is traffic-free.
