Description by the author

A short day today to give ample sight seeing time in Beaune- well wort it.

Considered two possible routes for this stage and in the end opted for this one on the day.

The route follows the "La Voie des Vignes" from Beaune to Satenay- a super ride through the villages- not to be missed.

From Satenay we followed the cycle trail up the old railway line to Nolay- a good ride climbing gently up the valley.

Stayed at the Hotel du Parc. Very quiet- not a memorable meal but an excellent bottle of Haute Beaune. DB&B 160 Euro.
