Appointment at the town hall and the Sint-Amandus church of Ingelmunster (V). Behind the town hall you can park for free. Next to the church you can see the red brick Chapel of Our Lady ofSorrows. Walk straight across the chapel into Schoolstraat. Next to house number 10 you have a black iron fence and the entrance to the municipal cemetery. The cemetery is surrounded by beautiful beech trees and at the end of the middle avenue you have the beautiful burial chapel 1 of the de Montblanc family. Return to your steps and continue walking in the Stoofstraat, past the fire station. Ignore all side streets until the busy, wide lane and turn right along the Meulebekestraat. Walk 100 meters further left into the Rodenbachstraat and immediately turn left again into the Weggevoerdenstraat. Turn right, ignore the Vanmaerlantstraat and a little further you are back in the Rodenbachstraat. Turn left and immediately right, still in Rodenbachstraat. • At the end of the asphalt track, walk straight ahead on a gravel road. After 150 meters you have a chapel with exotic pointed arches. Turn left on the narrow asphalt path. The narrow path becomes a wider asphalt road and a little further on you see the shortened hull of the Zandbergmolen 2 on the left. The original stake mill dates from before 1695 and became a stone mill in 1839. Around 1900 the mill was converted into a house. Cross the stone road (N50d) and walk straight ahead, not in the Zandbergstraat, but on the bicycle and pedestrian road on the right. The cycle path makes a detour around a new factory building. Follow the signs 'Cyclists and pedestrians'. • On the wider asphalt track turn left and after 15 meters turn right again on the cycle path. At the end of the cycle path, walk to the left and 100 meters further to the right into the C. Verhammestraat. At the T-junction, turn left and immediately right into Ingelmunsterbosstraat. Ignore the Jules Vermandelestraat and walk to the left at the T-junction. • 25 meters further on, a gravel path starts that takes you past a playground after a right turn and a left turn. The gravel path then widens and becomes a beautiful drift. At the end of the drive, cross the main track and continue walking along the Elf Juli Singel. Cross the Weststraat at the intersection and continue walking in the Beukendreef. It first takes you past a few spacious villas on the right and a few hundred meters further along the Ermitage on the left, the service flats of the OCMW of Ingelmunster. On the right you have the nature reserve 'de Mandelhoek' 3. The nature reserve is managed by the nature working group De Buizerd and can only be visited under supervision. At the end of the drive, walk to the right. On the left, behind the wall and greenery, is the Castle of Ingelmunster 4. The classicist castle surrounded by a moat dates from the first half of the eighteenth century. • Where the stone road starts to climb, you stay down on the cobblestone track. After 150 meters, walk via a wide gravel road to the left under the stone road and along the Roeselare-Leie canal. Along the Trakelweg you will find several picnic areas and after 400 meters you will arrive at the Paaiplaats 5. This so far only spawning place along the canal was set up in 2010 and aims to maintain the fish stock in a natural way. Just past the spawning place you come to the Lys bridge. Walk here to the left and over the Mandel bridge, and another 60 meters further next to house number 4 to the left on a bicycle path. The cycle path becomes gravel road and then asphalt road and takes you into a wide bend to the right on the Oostrozebekestraat. Turn left towards town hall and church. After a few hundred meters you have the Brewery Van Honsebrouck on the right where the Brigand and the Castle beer are brewed. Opposite the town hall and church are a few places where you can taste Brigand and Castle beer.
