Description by the author

Alex Moos is a professional Swiss cyclist from the Swiss canton Valais. Every year, the Swiss organize an open cycling race that is named after him. In 2008 there were three possible courses, this one is the longest one. It starts from Sierre, makes a round in the Rhone valley, then climbs a bit around Leuk, goes back to Sierre and finally up to Crans-Montana. It is a very nice race, with a thousand of people participating usually. The race is normally quite fast, even if only the final Sierre-Montana part is timed.
