Wortegem

The area between Leie and Schelde is the precursor to the Flemish Ardennes. Those who leave the E17 in Waregem and head towards Wortegem quickly realize that this is a hilly region. The entire hike will consist of a series of more or less dry stream valleys, wet meadows, slope forests, and extensive farmland. Thanks to these typical rural features, the low traffic, and the many concrete roads, this hike is extremely suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
DEPARTURE POINT
You can reach d'Oude Stokerij in Wortegem by taking exit 5-Waregem from the E17 and following the N382 towards Anzegem. At the narrowing of the road (traffic lights), turn left onto the Flanders-Fieldweg. After 700 m, take the concrete road to the right towards Oudenaarde at the American cemetery. 2 km further, at the top of a slope, lies 't Stokerijtje on the left.
PARKING
On the left in Pontstraat.
TYPE OF ROAD
Almost exclusively concrete and asphalt roads, with only a few gravel sections.
ACCESSIBILITY
Ideal for strollers and accompanied wheelchairs.
