Sellafield ist ein britischer Nuklearkomplex an der Irischen See in der Grafschaft Cumbria in Nordwestengland. Der River Ehen mündet am Rande der Anlage ins Meer und der River Calder fließt durch das Gebiet der Anlage, bevor er dort ebenfalls ins Meer mündet. Die Anlage liegt beim Dorf Seascale im Distrikt Copeland. Der Komplex wurde durch einen katastrophalen Brand 1957 und durch häufige nukleare Störfälle bekannt und unter anderem deshalb auch in Sellafield umbenannt. Auf dem Gelände des Komplexes befindet sich außerdem das Kernkraftwerk Calder Hall, das als erstes westliches Kernkraftwerk Strom in ein kommerzielles Netz einspeiste.
