Située sur un éperon rocheux dominant la Senne, cette église toute en pierre de taille de la région dégage une belle et harmonieuse impression malgré plusieurs changements au cours des siècles. Le bâtiment a une partie d'origine romane, mais date principalement du XVIe et XVIIe siècle et est essentiellement d'apparence gothique. La tour se termine par une flèche pyramidale.
A l’entrée, on admire une sculpture originale et récente de Claire Kirkpatrick, intitulée « Le loupiot » (1999), représentant un personnage mi-homme, mi animal avec son long museau.
L’intérieur a été restauré en 2004-2006 pour lui redonner fraîcheur et luminosité et mieux mettre en évidence ce cadre noble et austère. On remarquera une ancienne dalle funéraire de G. de Ghavre (1447) et B. du Bos (1464).
