La catena montuosa di Collserola fa parte della serie di rilievi litorali compresi tra i fiumi Besòs e Llobregat, con una superficie di circa 11.000 ettari.
La catena separa la piana di Barcellona dalla regione del Vallès e nel suo punto più alto, la cima del Tibidabo, misura 512 metri sul livello del mare.
