Binnen de binnenbaan van de voormalige hypodroom worden een paar Schotse Hooglandkoeien ingezet om de vegetatie in toom te houden. De koeien werden hier ingezet vanaf 22 maart 2014.. De dieren hebben een 7 ha groot begrazingsblok. DUs je moet wel wat geluk hebben om de dieren te zien. Deze grote grazers zullen het gebied zomer en winter onderhouden. Dit zijn grote runderen die weinig zorg nodig hebben en zelfredzaam zijn. Grote grazers zorgen voor een dynamisch natuurbeheer. Ze houden het grasland open, leggen door ruigten tal van paden aan, kiezen jonge bomen uit om bast en twijgen op te smullen. Kortom, op die manier verandert het landschap in een begraasd natuurgebied voortdurend van uitzicht.
