De KB is de nationale bibliotheek van Nederland, gevestigd in Den Haag. Zij verzamelt alles wat in en over Nederland verschijnt, van middeleeuwse literatuur tot aan publicaties van vandaag. Zo’n 7 miljoen publicaties zijn in de magazijnen opgeslagen, boeken, kranten en tijdschriften. De KB biedt ook veel digitale diensten, zoals de landelijke online Bibliotheek en Delpher . Sinds 2015 heeft de KB een coördinerende rol voor het netwerk van de openbare bibliotheek.
