Ocupa la part més baixa i ampla de la comarca de la Canal de Navarrés, enclavament privilegiat on afloren gran quantitat d'aigües de l'aqüífer del massís del Caroig que són arreplegades pel riu Sellent. Anna destaca per les seues múltiples fonts i abundància d'aigua a què deu l'origen del mateix topònim de la localitat, Yanna.
