Das Schloss und die Gärten
Seit dem 14. Jahrhundert war das Schloss Eigentum der Fürsten de Ligne.
Nach einem Brand im Jahr 1900 wurde es teilweise nach seinem mittelalterlichen Grundriss mit vier Ecktürmen und Wassergräben wiederaufgebaut.
Die außergewöhnlichen Gärten des 18. Jahrhunderts bestehen im Wesentlichen aus einem riesigen Rechteck (20 ha).
In dessen Mitte liegt der „Spiegel“ oder das „Neptunbecken“. Seitlich davon folgen sich Gehölzgruppen, umgrünte Räume, Wasserspiele sowie ein Gemüsegarten ab.
In der Verlängerung der Gärten am Rand des „Rond Bois“ liegt eine 4 km lange Buchenallee, unterbrochen vom Héronnière-Becken.
