Tilikum est une pirogue monoxyle longue de 38 pieds et large de 5,6 pieds , construite par les Amérindiens Nootkas au début du XIXe siècle. Elle fut achetée en 1901 en Colombie-Britannique par l’aventurier John Klaus Voss, qui la baptisa Tilikum , l’équipa pour la haute mer en renforçant sa structure, la ponta et lui ajouta une voilure de 21 m2. Voss, qui désirait rééditer la circumnavigation de Joshua Slocum, mena son embarcation entre 1901 et 1904 sur les Trois Océans, de la côte Ouest de l’Amérique du Nord jusqu’en Angleterre. Il était accompagné d’un équipier ; l'un d’eux disparut en mer au large de l’Australie.
Tilikum est désormais exposée dans une salle du musée maritime du parc Thunderbird, à Victoria au Canada.
