Maniago è un comune italiano di 11 561 abitanti del Friuli-Venezia Giulia, capoluogo della UTI delle Valli e Dolomiti Friulane. È nota per l'arte fabbrile, che le assegna il nome di Città del coltello : fin dal Quattrocento gli abili coltellinai maniaghesi forgiavano coltelli e lame, che andavano a fornire anche le truppe della Serenissima; nel 1998 è stato aperto al pubblico il Museo dell'arte fabbrile e delle coltellerie.
