Dit gebouw werd tussen 1530 en 1540 opgericht.
Het herbergde op de gelijkvloerse verdieping een overdekte markt en op de eerste verdieping een rechtszaal voor de stadsautoriteiten.
De hal was oorspronkelijk volledig gebouwd met houten banen, maar werd achteraan verkort met een stenen gevel toen het zijn eigenlijke commerciële bedoeling verloor.
Enkel de voorgevel wordt nog gesierd met de typische houten stroken en behield twee van de zes kraagstenen van de oorspronkelijke uitbouw.
De onlangs gerestaureerde hal biedt nu plaats aan allerlei culturele evenementen.
