Der Flughafen Sitten ist ein Regionalflughafen und ehemaliger Reduitflugplatz der Schweizer Luftwaffe in Sitten . Die wichtigste Fluggesellschaft am Flughafen ist die schweizerische Air Glaciers. Sie ist im Kanton Wallis neben Air Zermatt auch für die Luftrettung zuständig. Daneben bietet die Alpine tours touristische Alpenrundflüge an. Ein Grossteil der Flüge sind aber nichtkommerzieller Art, etwa Flugschulen. Auf dem Flughafen können max. eine Boeing 737 oder ein Airbus A320 landen.
2014 zählte der Flughafen Sitten 24'074 Passagiere und 35'287 Flugbewegungen. Für An- und Abflüge steht in Sitten eine befeuerte Hartbelagpiste von 2000 m Länge und eine Graspiste von 660 m Länge zur Verfügung. Der Flughafen kann bis zu 2600 Passagiere pro Tag abfertigen.
