Der Flughafen Hamburg, Eigenbezeichnung Hamburg Airport, seit 2016 auch Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt, ist der internationale Flughafen der Stadt Hamburg . Er ist der älteste und fünftgrößte Flughafen Deutschlands. Im Jahr 2018 wurde er von rund 17,23 Millionen Passagieren genutzt, was einem Rückgang von 2,2 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr entspricht. Der Flughafen ist eine Basis von Eurowings und Condor.
Der Name des Flughafens Hamburg wurde am 10. November 2016 zu Ehren des verstorbenen Altkanzlers und Hamburger Ehrenbürgers Helmut Schmidt um den Namenszusatz „Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt“ ergänzt. Dies geht auf einen Beschluss der Hamburgischen Bürgerschaft vom 21. Januar 2016 zurück. Schmidt war am 10. November 2015 im Alter von 96 Jahren gestorben. Der Flughafen hieß früher Flughafen Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel.
