Description

Le centre historique de Florence est un espace urbain au patrimoine architectural et artistique exceptionnel qui apporte le riche témoignage d'une puissante cité marchande du XIVe siècle au XVIIe siècle.

Il symbolise le berceau de la Renaissance qui aura une influence prépondérante sur le développement de l'architecture et des arts en Italie puis en Europe.
Il est reconnu par l'Unesco en 1982 au titre de patrimoine mondial de l'humanité.
