Es tracta d'un dipòsit elevat construït per l'arquitecte Lluís Homs, que havia de proveir aigua a les indústries, safareigs públics i fonts de la ciutat, a principis del segle XX. Està construïda amb formigó i la seva original estructura de pilars i escala helicoïdal la fan un element emblemàtic. A l'interior, uns plafons expliquen la història i el funcionament del dipòsit, que deixà de funcionar el 1967. Des de la planta mirador es pot contemplar una bonica vista sobre la ciutat i el rodal.
