City of Derry Airport , previously known as RAF Eglinton and Londonderry Eglinton Airport, is a regional airport located 7 mi northeast of Derry, Northern Ireland. It is located on the south bank of Lough Foyle, a short distance from the village of Eglinton and 8 mi from the city centre.
The airport, also known locally as Eglinton Airport, has experienced a decline in passenger numbers in recent years. In 2020, 80,494 passengers used the airport, which is an 81% reduction since its peak in 2008, and the airport's lowest passenger figures since 1998. Loganair and Ryanair both serve the airport on domestic routes to England and Scotland, and AlbaStar will serve the airport on international routes to Spain and Portugal, beginning in the summer of 2022.
