Toilets from ancient times

In the populated city of Athens, hygiene was an important issue. The public toilets were on the edge of the agora. You can still see a double marble toilet seat of those days. The building had an open central corridor for light and ventilation. A channel provided fresh water under the toilet seats and thus a permanent clean toilet.
