The windmill Tot Voordeel en Genoegen is a closed standerdmolen built in 1798 and is located at Molendijk 15 in Alphen aan de Maas. It is a large grist mill for a standard mill with three grinding couples, one front mill and two rear mills. Therefore, for the drive of the grinding torques, the mill has a pinion king spindle that drives the track wheel, which in turn drives the two rear mills. Most standard mills have only two grinding torques, which are driven directly by the upper wheel. At the rear of the upper wheel is a sprocket for the drive of the king spindle. The top wheel itself has no rear rim. The front mill and the left rear mill have artificial stones with a diameter of 150 cm (17 stones). The other back mill has millstones of natural stone and are 120 cm (14th stone) in size. The right rear mill and the front mill have a four-tax mill. In 1963 the mill was moved 25 m and completely restored. For example, the mill no longer has a 70 cm thick elm standerd, but one made of bilinga and the sides of the cabinet now also consist of this wood. There is no block throat under the windpeluw, so it is not supported in the middle. Probably because of this, the hood of the mill sinks forward, which is now counteracted by braces against the roof trusses. The standerd has a bream and leaks. The storm pin of the standerd has an iron cap with an iron cladding in the stone beam, which rotates over the storm pin, which would make the mill lighter to turn on the wind. Because the mill is not completely in the lead, the cabinet hangs slightly backwards, making the mill quite heavy gunpowder.
