Saint-Léger à Alise-Sainte-Reine, au pied de l’oppidum celtique Alésia est l’une des plus anciennes églises romanes de Bourgogne.
Le bâtiment était à l’origine une basilique à toit plat à trois nefs avec une tour de chœur et une abside. Les bas-côtés ont été perdus et les arcades ont été murées, de sorte qu’il ne reste aujourd’hui qu’une salle à nef unique. Le mur sud de la nef date de la période mérovingienne, tandis que le mur nord date de l’époque carolingienne. La tour remonte au 12ème siècle.
