La bataille de Dinwiddie Court House est un engagement mineur dans la campagne d'Appomattox à la fin guerre de Sécession. Elle a lieu 31 mars 1865, et sert de prélude à la bataille décisive de Five Forks.
Le 29 mars 1865, le major-général Sheridan entreprend une marche pour tenter de contourner par le flanc les lignes de défenses confédérées de Petersburg. Il a sous ses ordres son Corps de cavalerie et les IIe et Ve Corps de l'Armée du Potomac, ce qui représente une force de 45 247 hommes. La pluie rend les routes régulièrement boueuses, ce qui ralentit sa marche.
