40 Wall Street è l'indirizzo di un grattacielo di 70 piani alto 282,5 m originariamente noto come La Banca di Manhattan. Più tardi venne rinominato Trump Building divenendo noto a tutti anche per l'indirizzo. L'edificio, situato tra Nassau Street e William Street, è stato completato nel 1930, dopo solo 11 mesi di costruzione e fu il grattacielo più alto del mondo subito dopo il completamento. Progettato in parallelo con il Chrysler Building, doveva superare quest'ultima costruzione per altezza ma in realtà il progetto del Chrysler Building prevedeva un espediente da realizzare all'ultimo momento, e cioè la costruzione di una grandiosa guglia che permise di superare la banca di Manhattan.
