De kerk bevindt zich op een rotsachtige heuvel boven de Senne. Ze werd opgetrokken uit lokale natuursteen en heeft een harmonieuze uitstraling ondanks de vele veranderingen die ze doorheen de eeuwen heeft ondergaan. Een deel van het gebouw is romaans, maar het grootste deel van de kerk werd opgetrokken in de 16de en 17de eeuw waardoor ze er voornamelijk gotisch uitziet. De toren is bekroond met een piramidale spits.Aan de ingang staat een origineel, hedendaags beeldhouwwerk van Claire Kirkpatrick, genaamd «Le loupiot» (het kindje). Het stelt een personnage voor met een lange snuit dat half mens, half dier is.De restauratie van 2004-2006 maakt dat het interieur opnieuw fris en helder oogt zodat het sobere decor van deze kerk helemaal tot zijn recht komt. Let op de oude grafsteen van G. de Ghavre († 1447) en B. du Bos († 1464).
