Langenhorn és un municipi del districte de Nordfriesland, dins l'amt Mittleres Nordfriesland, a l'estat alemany de Slesvig-Holstein. Es troba al mig entre Niebüll i Husum a la línia ferroviària Hamburg-Westerland .
El primer esment escrit del poble data del 1352. Els primers assentaments van crear-se al llarg de la carretera L13 Dorfstraße que connecta West- i Ost Langenhorn. El 1681 va obtenir el dret d'organitzar tres vegades l'any un mercat que va donar-li una funció de centre regional. Va atreure artesans i menestrals. Fins que el 1864 Prússia va annexionar el ducat de Slesvig-Holstein, el poble pertanyia a la corona danesa. Després de diverses reorganitzacions administratives, finalment va crear-se el 1934 el municipi de Langenhorn en ajuntar els nuclis de Loheide, Mönkebüll, Oster-Langenhorn, Wester-Langenhorn i Efkebüll, un antic hallig al Bongsieler Kanal.
