Cubelles és una vila i municipi de la comarca del Garraf, situada a 50 km de Barcelona, la darrera població de la zona costanera de la província i de la comarca per la part del sud. Hi passa i desemboca al Mediterrani el riu Foix.
En les darreres legislatures, l'estabilitat política municipal ha estat complicada a causa de l'àmplia representació de partits polítics al ple i de les múltiples escissions i creacions de noves formacions.
