L'embassament d'Alarcón és una obra d'enginyeria hidroelèctrica construïda en el curs alt del riu Xúquer. Està situat a 6 km de la localitat d'Alarcón, a la província de Conca .La capacitat de l'embassament és d'1.112 hm³ i abasta una superfície de 6.840 ha, que arreplega una conca de 3.000 km². Així mateix compta amb una central de producció d'energia elèctrica amb una potència instal·lada de 281.000 kW.
