Eus és una comuna nord-catalana de la comarca del Conflent. Es va formar per la unió de l'antic terme d'Eus amb el de Coma; per això se'l va anomenar inicialment Eus i Coma. Recentment, el nucli de Coma s'ha despoblat del tot.
Tal com explica Joan Coromines en el Onomasticon Cataloniae, el nom d'Eus prové de la contracció del llatí ilex , en la seva variant elice, del llatí vulgar, d'on va passar a Eliz, després a Elz i posteriorment a Eus.
