Làmia és una ciutat de Grècia Central a la unitat perifèrica de Ftiòtida, situada a una plana propera al golf Malíac o Melieu. Actualment és la capital de la prefectura de Ftiòtida.
És famosa per la guerra entre els atenencs i els grecs confederats contra Antípater el 323 aC. Antípater fou inicialment derrotat i es va refugiar a la ciutat on fou assetjat. A la guerra se la va anomenar guerra de Làmia. Antípater va rebre socors de Cràter i es va poder retirar al nord, i després va derrotar els aliats a la batalla de Crannon .
