Pale era una ciutat de Cefalònia, a la part oriental d'una badia del nord-oest de l'illa. Polibi descriu Pale com una ciutat situada en una alçada envoltada per mar amb els costats rodejats de precipicis excepte per la banda que mira a l'illa de Zacint, també una de les illes Jòniques. Afegeix que la ciutat tenia un territori fèrtil on s'hi cultivava el blat.
