Jardí públic creat l'any 1845 a l'entrada de la ciutat alta, prop de la porta de Palerm, l'únic que es conserva parcialment de les muralles del segle XVI.
Nicolò Palmeri , també conegut com Niccolò Palmieri ( Termini Imerese , 9 d'agost de 1778 - Termini Imerese , 18 de juliol de 1837 ), va ser un economista, historiador i polític italià.
Pertanyia a una família de nobles terratinents sicilians. Va estudiar economia a la Universitat de Palerm, on va ser un estudiant preferit de l'economista Paolo Balsamo.
Fou un ferm defensor de l'autonomia siciliana i de la Constitució siciliana de 1812, la constitució promulgada a Sicília durant l'estada de Ferran III de Sicília a Palerm a l'època napoleònica; aleshores era membre del Parlament sicilià.
Va morir de còlera a la seva ciutat natal.
