La Torretta Pepoli és una petita fortalesa que va ser construïda l'any 1872 per ordre del comte Agostino Pepoli als vessants del Monte Erice, sota la Torri del Balio.
Va ser utilitzat pel comte per acollir amics literaris de l'època a casa seva i com a lloc de meditació i estudi dels seus treballs de recerca arqueològica.
L' estil arquitectònic original recorda els models moriscs , l'arquitectura medieval amb vagues referències al modernisme. L'estreta connexió entre l'element natural (la roca) i la pròpia estructura és clara i revela una sensibilitat que recorda l'arquitectura grega clàssica.
La torre està oberta al públic com a museu interactiu des del 2014 i s'anomena Observatori de la Pau i Far Mediterrani.
