El més cridaner d'aquesta plaça és el gran cartell de Braga , un lloc popular per fer-se selfies, però també per admirar la bella arquitectura mentre ets aquí.
Just darrere del cartell es troba la Igreja de São Marcos (Església de San Marcos), que té una característica façana corba.
A l'arquitecte braguer Carlos Amarante se li atribueixen diverses obres emblemàtiques de l'arquitectura nacional dels segles XVIII i XIX, marcades per la transició del barroc al neoclàssic. Entre elles, destaquen el Santuari del Bom Jesus do Monte -declarat Patrimoni Mundial de la UNESCO en 2019-, l'Església de la Trindade a Porto (on va ser enterrat) i el Palau de la Brejoeira a Monção.
La llista inclou també l' antic hospital i església de São Marcos, construït a la plaça on avui l'enginyer dóna el seu nom, al cor de Braga.
