La tercera capella del Via Crucis de Bom Jesus do Muntanya és la Capela da Prisão ( Capella de la Captura ).
Aquesta capella representa la captura de Jesús a l'Hort de les Oliveres, després de ser traït per Judes amb un petó. Jesús és envoltat per soldats que l'arresten. Judes es mostra com un traïdor. Pere li talla l'orella a Malco, servent del summe sacerdot, però Jesús ho guareix immediatament.
Dins d'un grup d'estàtues de grandària natural : Jesús és capturat per soldats. Judes, sovint amb cara culpable, roman a prop. Pedro empunya una espasa, en referència al seu atac a Malco.
Mostra el començament de la Passió de Jesús, on es deixa endur sense resistència. El petó de Judes simbolitza la traïció i la hipocresia , mentre que l'espasa de Pere representa l'instint humà de lluita.
