Hainburg an der Donau er en bykommune i Bruck an der Leitha-distriktet i Niederösterreich med 6892 indbyggere. Byen Hainburg ligger ved Donau mellem Wien og Bratislava i industrikvarteret i Niederösterreich. I den nordøstlige del af byen danner Donau grænsen til den slovakiske hovedstad Bratislava. Der er ikke nogen grænseovergang til Bratislava fra Hainburg. Desuden er Hainburg den østligste by i Østrig, men den østligste kommune i Østrig er dog Deutsch Jahrndorf i Burgenland, som også grænser op til Bratislava. Hainburg ligger også mellem den geografiske grænse for Karpaterne i øst og Donau i nord.
