Untertauern er en kommune med 462 indbyggere i St. Johann im Pongau distrikt i Salzburger Land i Østrig. Kommunen ligger i Pongau i Salzburger Land på nordsiden af Radstädter Tauernpasset, i dalen ved Pongauer Taurach og består af den eneste katastralkommune Untertauern. Kommunen hørte indtil 2004 til retskredsen Radstadt og har siden 1. januar 2005 været en del af retskredsen Sankt Johann im Pongau.
