Steinberg am Rofan er en kommune med 287 indbyggere i Schwaz-distriktet i Tyrol. Steinberg am Rofan har siden 2021 været en del af den internationale alpeforeningsinitiativ Bergsteigerdörfer. Steinberg er en lille, afsides beliggende spredt bosættelse ved Rofangebirge. Landsbyen kan nås ad en ti kilometer lang vej fra Achenkirch. Den dybeste punkt i kommunen, hvor Steinberger Ache flyder mod Pinegg mod øst, ligger knap under 850 meter over havets overflade. Bjergene mod syd, vest og nord er over 2000 meter høje. Af kommunens areal på næsten 70 kvadratkilometer er firs procent skovklædt, fire procent er alper, og kun tre procent anvendes landbrugsmæssigt.
