Poelbos er den nyeste, og med sine 8 hektar også den mindste, af de tre skove i Jette. Dette naturreservat blev erhvervet af kommunen Jette i 1964 og blev i 1976 erklæret som beskyttet landskab. Poelbos blev derefter videreudviklet og blev officielt åbnet i 1978. Siden da kommer især naturelskere og videnskabsfolk som ornitologer - på grund af de mange redebyggende fugle - der i stor stil til deres ret.
