Bree-eik gården er flere hundrede år gammel. Hvor vigtig denne gård var og er, viser Fricx' kort fra 1712. På dette kort er de vigtigste landsbyer markeret. Men kartografen placerede Bree-eik eksplicit på kortet. Eugène-Henri Fricx var en bruxellesisk trykker. Han var aktiv fra 1670 indtil sin død i 1730, hvor han var kendt for sine tryk af plakatser fra byen, adskillige historiebøger og militære kort over Belgien.
