Via Pluviergade kommer vi til kirken Sankt Anna i Tre. “Denne modernistiske kirke blev bygget i 1970 på stedet, hvor den tidligere hellige Anna og Joachimskirken stod,” fortæller Patrick. “Arkitekt Jos Ritzen tegnede designet. Den fik en rund form: præsten stod midt blandt folket.”
“Der var også to andre kirker på Venstrebredden. Kirken for Vor Frue ved Skelde på Gloriantlaan blev ødelagt efter en brand i 2000. Kun portalen med Mariabusten af Albert Poels blev bevaret. Sankt Lukas Kirke i Ernest Claes Gade er nu stedet for det socio-økologiske projekt Laudato Si fra Sant’ Egidio. I 2004 skete der en fusion af de tre menigheder. På grund af de unikke glas- og betonvinduer blev Sankt Anna i Tre kirke klassificeret som monument.”
Tæt ved kirken lå tidligere Station Antwerpen-Linkeroever. “Før bygningen af jernbanetunnelen under Skelde i 1970 måtte folk, for at rejse til Gent, tage færgen over og her tage toget.”
