Den schweiziske nationalpark ligger i kantonen Graubünden i østlige Schweiz mellem Zernez, S-chanf, Scuol og Fuorn-passet i Engadin-dalen ved grænsen til Italien. Det er den eneste nationalpark i Schweiz. Det har et areal på 174,2 km² og er det største beskyttede område i landet.
Parken blev oprettet den 1. august 1914 og var dermed en af de første nationalparker i Europa og den første park i Alperne. En af initiativtagerne til parken var Paul Sarasin. På grund af de tætte kontakter, han havde med belgieren Jean-Marie Derscheid og hollænderen Pieter van Tienhoven i Centre international de documentation et de correlation pour la protection de la nature, det senere IUCN, har denne nationalpark haft stor indflydelse på tankerne om naturbeskyttelse i Belgien og Holland.
