Preetz er en lille by sydøst for Kiel i Plön kommune i Schleswig-Holsten. Preetz er kendt som skomagerbyen på grund af de engang betydningsfulde erhverv som skomagere og er med omkring 16.000 indbyggere den største by i kommunen.
Postsee, der ligger nordvest for Preetz, gennemstrømmes af den gamle Schwentine, Kirchsee i centrum og Lanker See syd for Schwentine. Kirchsee er faktisk kun en udvidelse af Schwentine. Schwentine flyder fra Lanker See gennem Kirchsee videre mod Kiel.
