Kommunen ligger nord for Aschaffenburg i den vestlige kant af Spessart i dalen ved Glattbaches. Det topografisk højeste punkt i kommunens grænse ligger på Hainberg sydvest for Oberafferbach med 320 m øh. NHN, det laveste ligger ved Glattbach syd for byen på 158 m øh. NHN. Gennem Glattbach går den Fransk Marienweg.
