Wustermark ligger cirka 30 km vest for centrum af Berlin i et område, der regionalt også kaldes „hohes Havelland“ eller „Auf der Heide“, i umiddelbar nærhed af Regionalparken og naturreservatet Döberitzer Heide, en tidligere militær øvelsesplads, som blev købt af Heinz-Sielmann-Stiftung i 2004.
Kommunen ligger i det geografiske område Nauener Platte. Især i de sydligt beliggende bydele Hoppenrade, Hoppenrade-Ausbau og Buchow-Karpzow findes markante langbølgede, delvist også stejle moræneopbygninger. Især den 62 m høje Stellberg i bydelen Hoppenrade-Ausbau tilbyder en god udsigt over Havelland helt til Fläming. Øst for Wustermark ligger Havelkanalen, som strækker sig i nord-sydlig retning.
