Kommune Kodersdorf ligger i den centrale del af Landkreis, ca. 11 km nordvest for Kreisbyen Görlitz og 10 km syd for Niesky ved kanten af Königshainer-Bjerge samt den Oberlausitzer hede- og sølandskab i dalen ved Weißen Schöps.
