Sonnborn er et kvarter i den tyske by Wuppertal, i det sydlige Ruhrgebiet. Sonnborn var tidligere et kvarter i byen Elberfeld, som i dag hører til Wuppertal. Der bor over 3800 indbyggere. Sonnborn er den ældste bosættelse i Wuppertal, med en første omtale i året 874.
Sonnborn tilhører bydelen Elberfeld-West. Sonnborn ligger ved Uerdinger Linie, i det traditionelle område af Limburgs i bredeste forstand.
