Bycentrum, indtil 1961 Syd-Pempelfort, er en af de 50 bydele i Düsseldorf og ligger i bydistrikt 1. Med 1,77 kvadratkilometer og omkring 15.000 indbyggere hører bycentrum til de tættest befolkede bydele. Bycentrum er det økonomiske centrum for delstaten. Bydelen afgrænses mod vest af den gamle by med Carlstadt og mod øst af jernbanen Köln–Duisburg med centralstationen. Bycentrum karakteriseres af store modstridigheder, der udtrykkes i dannelsen af forskellige, uofficielle kvarterer. Ud over talrige kontorer tilbyder bydelen den højeste koncentration af detailhandelsbutikker i Düsseldorf, herunder fire store varehuse og tre shoppingcentre. Den vigtigste shoppinggade er Schadowstraße, som hører til de mest besøgte og omsætningsstærke gader i Tyskland. Berømt på regionalt og internationalt niveau er Königsallee, Düsseldorfs luksusshoppinggade.
