Geisa er en landsby i den sydlige del af Wartburgkreis i den thüringske Rhön i Ulstertal. Byen består af den gamle bydel på en bjergryg mellem Ulster mod øst og Geisa mod vest, de umiddelbart tilstødende byudviklingsområder i floddale samt elleve landsbyer i omegnen.
Den som mindesmærkeområde udpegede gamle bydel har en i det væsentlige bevaret historisk bygningsmasse med bykirken St. Philippus og Jakob samt slotområdet som det gamle administrative centrum. Området omkring Geisa var fra 817 til 1803 i besiddelse af kejserklosteret Fulda, hvorfor området, bortset fra Eichsfeld, i dag er et af de to katolske områder i det ellers evangeliske Thüringen.
